Can I bring children to Bitcoin Amsterdam?

Yes! Bitcoin Amsterdam is for all ages and we highly encourage young people to participate in Hyperbitcoinization. Children under the age of 12 can attend at no cost. Must be with parent during the whole event.

What is Bitcoin Amsterdam?

Bitcoin Amsterdam is the largest Bitcoin Conference in Europe, hosted in Amsterdam on October 12 - 13, 2023 at Westergas. The event is powered by Bitcoin Magazine and BTC Inc in partnership with Amsterdam Decentralized.

Can I bring outside food and beverages?

No outside food and beverage will be permitted. There will be several food and drink options available for purchase on site.

What is your COVID-19 protocol?

We do not require attendees to provide any personal medical information. Guests who do not feel well or comfortable attending an event with thousands of people are strongly encouraged to stay home and watch the livestream online.

Can I use my ticket for Bitcoin 2023 to Bitcoin Amsterdam?

No. Bitcoin 2023 and Bitcoin Amsterdam are distinct and unique events. Bitcoin 2023 tickets are not transferable or interchangeable with Bitcoin Amsterdam. For further assistance, please submit your inquiry on the contact form.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, you are able to request a name change/update, bill statement or VAT invoice with the Paylogic Team directly from the ticket email confirmation sent to the email address used during registration.

Is there an Industry Pass for Bitcoin Amsterdam 2023?

There is no Industry Pass for Bitcoin Amsterdam. Bitcoin Amsterdam has two types of tickets available which are the GA Pass for General Admission and the Whale Pass for all-access VIP experience.

Are there any travel restrictions to the Netherlands?

As of September 17, 2022 the government of Netherlands announced that the European Union(EU) entry ban has been lifted. Please visit the official website to verify the travel requirements and updates.

Can I volunteer or become an affiliate for Bitcoin Amsterdam?

How much BTC should I bring with me?

Just enough for “spending money”. We don't recommend bringing large amounts of bitcoin with you to the event. Unfortunately, there can be bad actors whose sole purpose is to steal your hard-earned BTC. That said, everything will be Bitcoin enabled, so download your favorite Lightning wallet and top off with what you plan to use at the conference.

What are the types of payments accepted at Bitcoin Amsterdam?

You are able to pay for merchandise, food and beverages with credit card, debit card, or Bitcoin via the Lightning Network.

Should I bring my backpack or laptop?

Bags of large sizes or luggage is not allowed on site for security reasons. There is no baggage check station available and we do not recommend bringing large bags or backpacks to the event. All bags will be checked by security before entering the venue and may slow down the entry process.

Will there be WiFi at the venue during Bitcoin Amsterdam?

Yes, WiFi will be available, however, we recommend using your own private telecom network or a device with minimal private information for your safety when using shared Internet.

Will there be alcohol for purchase?

Yes, there will be alcohol on site for purchase. The legal age to be served in the Netherlands is age 18 and above. Know how to HODL your alcohol. If you get intoxicated and cause problems, security will kindly ask you to leave the premises.

Can I be a Speaker at Bitcoin Amsterdam?

We are accepting speaking submissions for future events. If you are interested in speaking, please submit your information with a company email address to our Contact form along with a Speaker bio and topic of interest.

Can I bring a camera?

Bitcoin Amsterdam will have attendees of all ages. Please be mindful of those around you! Additionally, please be thoughtful of photography and use of cellphone cameras, as not everyone will want to be included in photos. If you're extremely interested in privacy, consider wearing a privacy mask. For professional crew shooting, a permit from the organizers is required.
