Nicolas Burtey is Co-Founder and CEO of Galoy, a company building open source banking software at the forefront of Lightning adoption.

In early 2020, Nicolas traveled to El Zonte and developed the Bitcoin Beach Wallet. The wallet served as powerful proof of concept for Galoy, and supported the creation of a circular economy at Bitcoin Beach.

Nicolas leads the Galoy team to build the open-source standard for Bitcoin banking. Galoy enables any community, company or government to offer financial services on Lightning.
